Living Water Midwifery (formerly Doula Vita) is a Northeast Michigan birth service, based in East Tawas, offered by Midwife Theresa Hurst. The practice specializes in traditional and holistic care, providing compassionate, nurturing support rooted in evidence based practices.

As a traditional birth attendant and direct-entry midwife, I invite you to experience sovereign birth, rooted in your inner knowing and autonomy. I support physiological and undisturbed birth, offering presence, encouragement and reassurance, as an anchor for you to have the birth that is most aligned for you and your family. 

Following CPM midwifery liscensing approval, (anticipated December 2026) I will be opening the doors in 2027 as a NARM liscensed, Certified Profesional Midwife serving Northeast Michigan. I am honored to continue my work, helping families feel heard, respected and empowered as they cross the threshold, bringing new life into this world.
